Larry Edward Davis, Sr., age 64 of Lewisburg, Ohio, passed away at Kettering Health in Dayton, Ohio on Thursday, August 28, 2025 after a lengthy illness. Born on March 10, 1961 in Dayton, Ohio, son of Gerald “Jerry” & Martha J. (Moyer) Davis.
Larry was such an easy going and happy person and will be deeply missed. He retired after 42 years of service at Applied Mechanical Systems in Trotwood, Ohio.
Preceded by his mother, Martha J. (Moyer) Davis in 2022; nieces, Stacy Hendrickson and Jessica Lawson; nephew, Joseph Hendrickson; sister-in-law, Dena Lewchenko.
Survived by his wife of 46 years, Cheryl A. Davis; children, Larry (Missy) Davis, Jr., Eric (Mindy) Davis, and Matthew (Rhonda) Davis; father, Gerald “Jerry” Davis; sisters, Debbie Hendrickson, Karen (Stephen) Nakashima, and twin sister, Lisa (Paul) Shakro; brother, Greg Davis; sister-in-law, Juanita “Wendy” Watson; seven grandkids, Lillian Davis, Matthew Davis, Jr., Samuel Davis, Jacob Davis, Logan Davis, Dean Davis, and Evelyn Davis; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at Barnes Funeral Home, 411 N. Commerce Street, Lewisburg, Ohio with Pastor Gary Sollenberger officiating. Interment will be held in Roselawn Cemetery in Lewisburg, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday at the funeral home in Lewisburg.
