Larry Dockery

1974 - 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Larry Dockery on March 7, 2026. Born on September 13, 1974, Larry was a special person, full of light and warmth, who touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Larry was the son of Lisa Meyer and the late Larry Dockery Sr. He was also blessed with the guidance of his stepfather, the late Paul Meyer. A devoted husband, Larry shared a life with his wife Laura, raising two wonderful sons, Tiernan and Joshua, who were his pride and joy. They filled their children's lives with love and fun experiences – turning their home into a world full of animals.

A graduate of Moon Area High School, class of 1992, Larry pursued his passion for education by earning both bachelor's and master's degrees in Special Education. His commitment to education was evident in his professional and family life.

Larry's love for music was a defining aspect of his life. An accomplished musician, he played both the trumpet and guitar. His appreciation for music was only rivaled by his enthusiasm for sports, particularly baseball and football.

Known for his infectious laugh and ever-present smile, Larry's warm spirit resonated with everyone he met - he possessed a rare ability to make others feel seen and heard. As a doting father, he was deeply involved in his sons' lives, always encouraging and supporting them.

Larry is survived by his loving wife Laura, his sons Tiernan and Joshua, his mother Lisa, his brother Leon and sister-in-law Ronda, and his dear sisters Amy, Shannon, and Emily.
