Larry Ellison, 44, passed away on August 31, 2025 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Born on June 13, 1981 in Elyria, Ohio, Larry brought his unique spirit and energy to every chapter of his life. He attended Gridley High School in Gridley, CA, where he began to cultivate the hands-on skills that would later define much of his life. Known as a jack of all trades, Larry had a natural talent for working with his hands, whether it was fixing cars or tackling any project that came his way.
His resourcefulness and determination made him someone others could count on when something needed done. Larry found joy in simple pleasures. He loved to fish and could often be found with a rod in hand. He also enjoyed shooting pool and spending time immersed in the mechanics of cars. These hobbies not only reflected his skills, but also his appreciation for focus, patience, and craftsmanship.
Family was an important part of Larry's life. He is remembered by his daughters, Marianna (David) Dutra, Jamie (Mariah) Ellison, Katheryn Ellison, and Eliza Ellison; his grandchildren, Jordan, Mason, Evelynn, Kolton, and Averyonna; his mother, Julia Gutierrez; his father, Larry Elison Jr.; and his brothers, Russell Earl Ellison, and Elvis Lee Ellison. He also leaves behind many cousins, aunts, and uncles who were part of the extended family that supported and shaped him throughout his life.
Larry is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Helen Frymyer and Earl Frymyer; as well as his son, Skyler Ellison. Though he expressed love in his own way, those who knew Larry understood the depths of his care and commitment to those around him.
His presence will be deeply missed by all his family members and many friends. May Larry's memory bring comfort to those who mourn him, and serve as a reminder of life lived with heart and hands at work.
