Larry Douglas Foust, 77, of Madison, NC peacefully passed away at the ANCORA

Compassionate Care, Gibson House, formerly Hospice of Rockingham County on 09/09/2025.

Larry was born in Greensboro, NC, 01/31/1948 to Douglas and Mary Foust. After graduating

from Ben L. Smith High School, Larry accepted employment with Southern Bell in 1966, taking a

2 year leave to serve his country with the US Army, spending 1 of those years serving in

Vietnam. Upon his return, Larry married the love of his life of 54 years, Lynn Miller Foust, also

of Greensboro, NC, continuing his employment with Southern Bell/Bellsouth/ATT, retiring in

2012.

Larry's passion was planning long trips with Lynn, visiting 39 of our 50 states, many times going

back to places twice, simply to share their love of travel with his brother Curtis. He enjoyed

many varied interests which included riding his Harley Davidson, reading, live music concerts,

photography, time spent with friends, NASCAR and often enjoying races at the Virginia

International Raceway. Larry was a dear friend to many, never met a stranger and was always

willing to lend a hand if need be.

Larry was predeceased by his parents, Douglas and Mary Foust, of Suppy, NC. He is survived

by his sister Janet Summers (Kevin) of Gulf Breeze, Florida and his brother, Curtis Foust of

Supply, NC. and many cousins who loved him well.

A Celebration of Life will be held on October 11, 2025 at 1:00 pm; at Gate City Vineyard Church,

204 South Westgate Dr., Greensboro, NC . In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his

memory to Ancora Compassionate Care, 2150 NC Hwy. 65, Reidsville, NC 27320
