Larry Andrew Gaddis

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Larry "Porky" Andrew Gaddis, who left us on September 6, 2025, at the age of 70. Larry was born on March 27, 1955, in Gaston County, NC, and he spent most of his life in Gastonia, where he will be fondly remembered by family and friends.
Larry retired from Sherwin Williams, where he put his skills to use and tackled every challenge with a smile. When he wasn't at work, you could find him under the hood of a car, lost in the thrill of tinkering and repairing. A passionate dirt track racer in his younger days, Larry brought that same enthusiasm to everything he did-whether it was fishing with friends, playing a round of golf, or belting out a tune.
Larry is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Gaddis; sons, Scott Gaddis (Laura), and Justin Gaddis; granddaughter, Autumn Caviness (Travis); brother, Keith Anthony (Debbie); sister, Judy Owen. His family meant the world to him, and he always made time for them, whether it was sharing stories, fishing trips, or just enjoying a beautiful day together.

Larry was preceded in death by his mother, Maybelle Welch and step father, Junior Welch.
In honor of Larry's life, there will be a visitation at Greene Funeral Service South Chapel on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
We invite all who knew Larry to come together to celebrate his life and share fond memories. He's left us too soon, but his legacy of love, laughter, and joy will always be remembered.
