Larry Geslison Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Serenity Funeral Home of Bluffdale on Dec. 18, 2025.
Larry Edward Geslison ("Goose") was born to Desmond and Virginia Geslison on October 3, 1942 and grew up in Spanish Fork, Utah. Larry passed away at the University of Utah Hospital on December 13, 2025. Larry was a Veteran, having served in the United States Army in the mid-1960's. Larry met and married Marilyn (Ball) Snow in 1966, and became a father to her two boys, M. Craig Snow and Chris M. Snow. The family grew again three years later with the addition of daughter, Stacey.

Larry was an Ironworker with Union Local 27. He was a hard worker and often had to leave his home and his family to take out-of-state work. Larry did this so that he could always make sure there was a roof overhead and food on the table. Larry also helped Craig and Chris get established as Ironworkers. Larry briefly worked in real estate after his retirement from Ironworking.

Larry loved dogs. He almost always had a dog by his side. He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved fishing, boats, guns, cars, and motorcycles. Over the last few years, Larry's health prevented him from doing many of the activities he enjoyed most. We hope he is now able to do those things he loved, once again.

Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn; his son, Chris; his parents; and his brother, Kent.

Larry is survived by and will be remembered by son, Craig (Jenny) Snow, and daughter, Stacey (Rich) Beals, as well as by his brother, Craig (Debbie) Geslison. Goose will be missed by his grandchildren, Jamie, Kim (Tory), Aubree (Austin), J.P., Craig (Shantelle), Jared, Sarah and Alyssa. He is survived by Terri Snow and his step-grandchildren, Paul, Cody, Jordan, Kaylee, Michelle and Heather. He is survived also by many great and great-great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family wishes to thank all of the health and home care providers who have helped Larry over these past several years. We appreciate the love and care of his Ironworker friends who have kept in contact with him, as well as those who passed before. A special thanks to the University Hospital and CNS Nursing for making sure Larry was comfortable and not alone at any time during his final days.

In lieu of a formal service, Larry's immediate family will get together and enjoy a meal and memories together in his honor. We hope those who knew and cared for him will do the same. As for Goose, he has gone fishing.
