Born October 2nd, 1947, to his parents, Aaron Alden And Lois Myrtle Guess. He served in the army for many years. He was many things to many different people a husband to my mom Rebecca Lynn Guess. A dad to my brother Jason and myself. As well as a Papa to my children Angela the oldest, Kevin the 2nd, Delton, Jose, Elizabeth, and Christian the youngest. Larry and Elizabeth shared a birthday, October 2nd. Which he seemed happy to share. Even though the grandkids were hardly around he treated them all the same. They seemed to make him smile when they were around. Larry loved his in-laws Les and Barbara Renfro. Les and Larry loved to go on car rides, get lost and eventually find their way home. The car keys went missing shortly after that. Larry was the type of person who would walk to the store in the middle of the night or give you the shirt off his back. Some things that he liked to collect are hats, knifes, and old pistols if he could. Whenever him and I went walking somewhere and he noticed an old car he would say that sure is a nice car or I wish I had that car. A lot of times when visiting Larry, he would want to play bingo or sing karaoke. Whenever my brother Jason would visit, he would play cards or talk sports with us. It seemed like tombstone or Star Wars were his favorite movies. I believe he even like Indiana Jones. The favorite scene from tombstone was "I'll be your huckleberry". Around Halloween he enjoyed playing jokes and scaring people. Even though he loved to dress up scary he always was a good sport. I say this because mom wanted them to dress up as raggedy Andy and raggedy Ann so, he did. Another time I remember him doing something crazy but thoughtful was him walking in the snow to the store for mom. One thing for sure is he always tried to make mom happy. It is not just the big things but the small things he would do to make her smile. Things like watching the I love Lucy show. I'm surprised they didn't dress up as Lucy and Ricky for Halloween. His last words to me were I love you and miss you guys. God bless you and your family and that he could not wait until Friday. When I asked why he said because mom was coming to see me. Dad, I will see you in heaven Happy Birthday.
Love, Jenn
