He was my counselor at the VA. So great to talk to. Sometimes, when I had an appointment, I would just stop by to say hello. I will miss him dearly and he will always be thought of. My sincerest condolences to his family.

Rest in peace Mr Hauner, thank you for your service. I really connected with and trusted Larry as a counselor. I felt deep trust in him relating to me as an Afghan and Iraq vet with his Vietnam service.

My deepest sympathy to Larry's dear ones. His care of me at the VA exemplified the love that he had for his job and his clients. He was one of those among many from my care team who helped to drag me out of the past and its unpleasant memories and behaviors into what is still developing to be a new and better me. The memories of his heartfelt concern and helpful advice, his empathetic ability to key in on my overseas experiences, and helpful advice will remain with me always, and continues to be the foundation upon which I continue to build. He is truly missed.
