Larry Hesse Obituary
Larry J. Hesse was born to John and Helen Hesse on January 13, 1941. He grew up with three brothers in Coolidge. He then went to Vo-Tech and graduated with a mechanics degree. Larry served three years in the US Army stationed in Germany. He met Ruby Kloeckner in Holly, CO, and enjoyed 42 years of marriage. Ruby and Larry lived in Coolidge, Lamar, Ainsworth, and most recently, Goodland, Kansas. Larry was a strong, stubborn, opinionated German with a long ancestral lineage going back many generations. He had his own opinions about things. He was unafraid of sharing with others and could stand his ground with anyone. Larry knew many things about most things and was very self-sufficient. Most of this was self-taught. There wasn’t anything that he couldn’t repair on his own. Larry had many lifelong friends and was still in touch with friends he met in the army. He moved many people and will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by Ruby, who passed away on December 31, 2023.
Inurnment will be in Coolidge, Kansas, where they will be placed next to Ruby’s children, Kent and Karla.
