Larry Lee Hicks, age 65 of Pigeon Forge, TN passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2025 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville, TN.

Larry was the owner and chief instructor of "Shih Chung Do" Academy of Martial Arts and earned his black belt in karate. He was also a real estate entrepreneur. Larry never failed to help a friend in need.

Preceded in death by his father, Jesse L. Hicks and mother, Dorothy E. Hicks. Larry is survived by his son, Joseph Lee Hicks; sister, Carol Y. Miele; brother, H. Michael (Molly) Hicks; nephews, Michael D. Hicks and family, and Jonathan Miele; nieces, Kristen Fowler and family, and Erin Huss and family; as well as 2 grandchildren.

A graveside service was held Tuesday, August 12th at Lynnhurst Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org or the Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
