Larry Johnson

Larry Johnson, 67, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Sunday, Aug. 14, 2022 at his residence. He was born in Jetson, Ky. on Jan. 7, 1955 to the late Revil and Anna Phelps Johnson. Larry was a member of Trinity Full Gospel Tabernacle Church, a mechanic and a truck driver. He enjoyed being with his family, dirt track racing and being a mechanic. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Jim, Curly and Randall Johnson; sister Nelma Cappa.
Larry is survived by his wife of 35 years, Debbie Phelps Johnson; daughters Jackie Johnson and Marie Coy (Scott); son Kevin Flener; grandchildren Emily and Ethan Coy, Isaac Flener (Kim); James, Jonathan and Austin Hack; great grandchild Robbie Flener; bonus daughter Jessica Cox (Chad); brothers Kenny Johnson (Sharon), Joe Johnson and Steve Johnson (Ellen); sisters Wilma "Candy" Friel and Reva "Kookie" Richards; fur baby Sunny; several nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, Aug. 18 at 2pm at Smith Funeral Home with Bro. Stevie Embry officiating. Burial will be held in the Clark Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 17 from 3pm-8pm and on Thursday from 8am-2pm at Smith Funeral Home.
