Hagerstown, MD – Larry Alvin Kees, Sr., 74, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2025, at his home.
He was born on December 13, 1950, in Williamsport, MD to the late Alvin Luther and Nancy Lee (Zimmerman) Kees.
Larry was a 1968 graduate of Williamsport High School.
He was employed by Grove Manufacturing in Shady Grove, PA for 31 years until his retirement.
He attended Hagerstown Church of the Brethren Hagerstown, MD.
Larry was a member of Conococheague Tribe #84 I.O.R.M. of Williamsport, MD; Western Maryland Sportsman Club of Williamsport, MD; S.A.L. Dixon-Troxell Post #211 American Legion Funkstown, MD; Grove Grey Group (Retirees Group). He was also involved with the Boy Scouts of America.
He is survived by his wife Sheryll Ann (Snyder) Kees whom he married on January 30, 1971; daughter Jennifer I. Ripple of Williamsport, MD; son Larry A. Kees, Jr., (Heather) of Williamsport, MD; sister Amy J. Kearns (Butch) of Falling Waters, WV; grandchildren Zach Kees (Montana),Nicole Kees, Jared Kees, and Sam Ripple; great grandchildren Devi and Rori.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by an infant son Dana J. Kees; son Adam R. Kees; sister Sharon E. Preische; infant brother Earl Kees.
The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Sunday, January 26, 2025, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. The funeral home will be open after 2:00 pm on Sunday for the convenience of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at the Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Monday, January 27, 2025, at 11:00 am with Pastor Twyla Rowe officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park Williamsport, MD.
