It’s with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Larry Ford Leake passed away peacefully Wednesday September 10, 2025, at the age of 68. Born on Friday, July 19, 1957, in Richmond Virginia, to the late Eugene William and Mary Lucille Leake.
Larry lived a life brimming with creativity, laughter, and love.
Larry was not just a talented musician, singer, and songwriter; he was the kind of person who could make anyone smile with his quick wit and humor. He had an incredible passion for life, deeply appreciating nature and all its beauty. A spiritual man at heart, Larry found joy in the simple things, from hunting for crystals and rocks to sharing time with his beloved fiancée.
Larry is survived by his loving fiancé’ Rhonda Halbert; children, Veni and Aimee Leake, as well as his cherished sisters, Nancy Gonzeles and Shirley Hendricks. All of whom he adored deeply. He will be missed by many who have had the privilege of calling him a friend.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Steve Leake, and the mother of his children, Linda Leake.
Larry will be cremated, and we know he will always be watching over his loved ones, leaving behind memories filled with music, laughter, and love.
