OXFORD: Larry Lyon Lee, 67, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at his home in Oxford. He was born in Durham, the son of the late Lucas Lyon Lee Jr. and Doris "Dottie" Scarborough Lee. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lee was also predeceased by his brother, Michael C. Lee.
Larry was a faithful member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. He was the owner and operator of Accu-Air Heating & AC where he worked alongside his wife Bonnie. Larry had a deep passion for deer hunting and spent many hours preparing a habitat for the deer on his property in Granville County.
Larry is survived by his wife, Bonnie Taylor Lee; daughters, Stephanie Lee, Whitney Lee Granata (Casey); grandchildren, Banks Granata, Evie Granata: and nephews, Tim Lee, Justin Lee and Trent Lee
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, January 13th at Ridgecrest Baptist Church with Dr. Marc Francis and Pastor Gary Chambers officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the church. Burial will follow the services in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to The Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center, DUMC Box 3624, Durham, NC 27710 or Ridgecrest Baptist Church, 1104 Milton Rd, Durham, NC 27712.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to all their dear friends who encouraged and prayed for them during Larry's illness, to the doctors and staff at The Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center, and to the Duke Hospice team for their loving care of Larry.
