Larry G. Lee, a resident of Morgantown, West Virginia, passed away on August 9, 2025, wrapping up a life well-lived with the same grace and dignity with which he lived. Born in the same town on July 15, 1948, to the late Ray Forest Lee and Eva Pauline Riley Lee, Larry's 77 years were marked by a steadfast dedication to his work and his beloved family.
Larry, at the early age of seventeen, enlisted and served his country bravely in the United States Army. Following his service, Larry spent his working years embedded in the mining community, dedicating his expertise to Patriot Mining as a surface miner. His proficiency was unparalleled; operating heavy machinery was not just his occupation, but a passion. Larry made sure his family knew in his last days that he was ready to be with Jesus.
He carries with him now the enduring love of his cherished family. Larry is survived by a family that feels his absence keenly yet celebrates his eternal heavenly reward. Survivors include: his daughters, Kelly Casto with her husband Bristin of Morgantown, and Jamie Pack with her husband Clinton of Mt. Morris, Pennsylvania, remember their father as a pillar of strength, his grandchildren: Lincoln, Shelby, and Grant Pack, and Lane Casto; his siblings hold memories of Larry close, remembering the brother who once shared in the laughter and love of their childhood.
Family and friends are invited to gather at McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Rd. Westover, WV on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, from 11 am until the funeral service begins at 12 pm, noon. Following the service, Larry will be laid to rest at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens with full military honors conferred by Westover VFW #9916 and WVANG Military Honors, Camp Dawson.
