Larry Luce Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Thompson Smith Nesbitt Funeral Home and Cremation Services on Mar. 29, 2023.
Larry L. Luce, Sr., 68, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2023 at UH-Geauga Medical Center.
He was born on December 16, 1954 in Conneaut, Ohio the son of Herbert L. and Catherine M. (nee: Onion) Luce. Larry served his country honorably in the United States Army. He was very proud of his military service.
Larry was all things automotive; he was a knowledgeable mechanic and could fix anything you brought him. He also owned and operated Luce and Son's Towing for a short time. Larry also enjoyed collecting diecast cars and HO trains. Much to his families displeasure, he loved going to auctions, claiming he'd always have anything you needed, when you needed it! Larry loved his family, having a full house and cherished the time spent with them. He was always there to lend a hand and will be missed dearly by his loved ones.
Larry will be missed by his loving wife, Dorothy L. (nee: Betts), whom he married July 26, 1973; his children and those he raised, Greg Summers, Candy Ericksen, Danny Culver, Larry Luce, Jr., Herb (Erickson) Luce, Merle (Bree) Luce, Cheryl Luce, Sandy (David) Schreiber, Logan Luce, Terry Luce, Sean Luce, Damien Luce, Rodney Ericksen and Max Halmen; grandchildren, Terra, Matt, DJ, Breonna, Shay, Riley, Heather, Shawn, Greg Jr., Cheyenne, Haylo, Alexander, Stanley, Darcy, Larry, Matt, Kodi, Macaylee, Kalli, Brooklyn, Avani, Londyn, Isabella and Dylan; great-grandchildren, Davinna, Alex, Liam, Ashton, Addy, Zallie, Brinley, and Oliver; brother, Richard (Mary Ann) Luce; and his sister, Ramona Hopkins.
He was preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Catherine Luce; and his siblings, Shirley Mortison, Sandra Luce, Milton Luce, Barbara Narducci, Joyce Joslin and Betty Merano.
A graveside service will be held, Monday April 3, 2023, at 1:30PM at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, with Pastor Tim Kraus, officiating, where military honors will be performed.
