Larry Aaron Aladino Lujan, born on December 20, 1967, in
Los Angeles, California, to Bernice and Larry Lujan, lived a life defined by hard work, loyalty, and a deep devotion to the people he loved. Larry passed away on March 8, 2026, at Medical Center Hospital, leaving behind a legacy of strength, humor, and unforgettable presence.
Larry spent many years working in the oilfield, where he earned the respect of his crews and colleagues through determination, skill, and leadership. He worked his way up through the ranks, ultimately becoming a rig supervisor, a role he took great pride in. His work ethic, reliability, and commitment to doing things the right way made a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of working alongside him.
Larry was also a true handyman, gifted with the ability to fix just about anything. Electrical work, plumbing, cars, motorcycles, carpentry - if it was broken, he could make it right. His hands were skilled, his mind sharp, and he approached every project with confidence and know how.
He was, without question, one of the strongest men in the world. Family stories tell of the day he lifted and moved a car entirely on his own - a moment that became legend and perfectly captured his physical strength and fearless spirit.
Around town, Larry was known simply as "Lucky." His personality was unforgettable, and so were his sayings. He loved to joke, "Does your face hurt? It's killing me!" and his classic "Boy!" could fill a room. And if you ever told him you were hungry, he'd offer you a knuckle sandwich before anything else - his humor always sharp, always playful.
Larry also had a charm all his own. A bit of a ladies' man with a playful swagger, he liked to joke that he was the real life Johnny Bravo. He never lost his sense of fun, and he kept a youthful spark throughout his life. He loved watching cartoons, wandering the toy aisles at Walmart, and never missed a good estate sale. And no matter where he went, he always had candy and sweets stashed everywhere - a little quirk that brought happiness to his daughter and grandkids.
Larry and his daughter shared an especially close bond, always taking care of each other in their own way. He loved his sons deeply as well, even through times of distance and estrangement. His love for his siblings ran just as strong - and bickering and talking trash with his brother was their own special love language, a rhythm of affection only they understood.
He was notorious for never responding to text messages, but when something truly mattered, he showed up without hesitation. His loyalty was quiet but unwavering.
After years of dodging danger and walking away from things most people wouldn't survive, his cat years finally ran out, and the Lord called him home - where he was met by his beautiful, loving mother, his sweet father, his Aunt Jan, his Uncle Al, and his Grandma Susie.
Larry is survived by his beautiful daughter, Larra Lujan; "The Boys," Michael Lujan, Larry & Isabella McNeal; and his grandchildren: Ella & Elijah, Emily, Emmitt, Makayla, Michael, Luke, and Mateo. He is also survived by his siblings: Anna & Ralph Sanchez, Joe & Angie Lujan, Joylynn & Darrin Phillips, and Robert & Amy Lujan, along with 22 nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
A memorial service honoring Larry's life will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Acres West Funeral Chapel at 3:00 PM, where family and friends will gather to share memories and celebrate the life of a man who meant so much to so many.
