Larry Malone Obituary
Larry served in the Army Reserve. He was a teacher at Cahokia High School for more than three decades, where he coached football, basketball and baseball. He also coached baseball at Parks College for several years. He loved the Cardinals and rarely missed listening or watching their games. He loved jazz. He spent his retirement years fighting to maintain social security and Medicare through the Alliance of Retired Americans. He believed in standing up for equal rights, helping those who were less fortunate and doing what he could to save our planet.
A private memorial service will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO on Thursday, July 6. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Evelyn's House Hospice Care through the Foundation for Barnes/Jewish Hospital. Evelyn's House does not have the channel that carries Cardinals games, and it is our hope that we can change that in his honor.

We are deeply saddened by the death of Larry Malone. The Alliance for Retired Americans, Education Fund will miss his contributions to the organization. We recently awarded Larry the title - Executive Board Member Emeritus. His dedication to the Alliance organization was unparalleled. He was proud of his Teachers Union and the contributions he made to support workers Rights to livable wages and benefits, on the job and during retirement. His support was unwavering. May he rest in peace. Our condolences to his entire family.

Guy Dauphin really misses Larry Malone. They would get on the phone and talk , for what seemed like hours to his wife, talk about the St. Louis Cardinals. At the beginning of this season they didn´t have much good to say about the team. I am writing this for my husband Guy, and everyday he tells me how he misses Larry. He´ll read the sports page and say " I wish I could talk to Larry".

Aunt Shirley, Greg, and Kelly so sorry to learn of Uncle Larry´s loss. He was my favorite jazz aficionado. I´ll always remember the twilight double headers he took me to at Busch Memorial Stadium. Go Cards.
