Larry A. Manter, 68, passed away on March 25, 2025, after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Born November 15. 1956 and lived his entire life in Columbus, Ohio. He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 47 years Christine S. Manter, their three sons James A. Manter (Katrina) Norfolk VA, Larry A. Manter Jr. (Misty) Grove City OH and Rocky A. Manter (Emily) Westerville OH. They have 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. His sister Donna Anderson Marion OH, sister-in-law's Linda Sluss OH and Rhonda Smith FL, many nieces and nephews. Larry is preceded in death by his parents Robert L. and Barbara A. Manter, sisters Vicky Manter, Doris Whalen, brother Arnie Manter and brother-in-law Vernon (VT) Smith.

Larry retired from Ohio State University after 15 years and 24 years at Ohio Dominican College. He was an avid football fan and a diehard Ohio State Buckeye. He enjoyed time with his family and enjoyed his grandbabies every opportunity he got to spend with them. He loved to go fishing with his boys, and when his boys were growing up, he devoted 13 years to coaching football. He spent years watching and going to NASCAR racing, being a big Earnhardt fan. His memory will leave a lasting impact on all that knew him and live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

Family and friends are welcome to pay their respect during a visitation on March 31, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Both events will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, Northwest, located at 10051 Brewster Ln, Powell, OH 43065. The burial will immediately follow at Mifflin Cemetary, Gahanna OHAs we gather to honor and remember Larry A. Manter, let us carry forward his legacy of kindness and generosity the family is asking in lieu of sending flowers for a donation be made to any local youth sporting groups.
