LARRY MCELVEEN, SR. Obituary
Larry McElveen, Sr. entered eternal rest on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at the age of 68. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Avondale, LA. Larry attended Marion Abramson High School. He was a retired Truck Driver and Welder. He was formerly employed with J. B. Hunt, CT Transport, and Avondale Shipyard. Beloved husband of the late Mollie J. McElveen. Loving father of Larry McElveen, Jr. (Lola) and Dana McElveen. Loving grandfather of Traione McElveen-Davis (Anthony), Iyana McElveen, Derrick Perkins, Jr., Katelyn McElveen, Jaxson Carter, and Larry MCElveen, III. Great grandfather of Ava Davis. Devoted son of the late Bonnie J. Green. Larry is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, LA on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time.
