Larry O'Leary, age 75, of Jay, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, September 7, 2025, at Grandwood Assisted Living in Grove, Oklahoma. Born in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Larry was the son of Lawrence O'Leary and Daisy Catherine (Brashear) O'Leary. On September 19, 1970, he married the love of his life, Linda Hughes, in Oaks, Oklahoma. Larry was a man of strong work ethic. He worked as an accountant and was the proud owner and operator of L&L Pawn Shop in Jay, Oklahoma, where he served his community for many years. An avid outdoorsman at heart, Larry found joy in the natural world. He was an elk hunter and fisherman. He loved riding horses and enjoyed spending time farming. Larry will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his mother, Daisy Catherine Brashear O'Leary; his father, Lawrence O'Leary; his aunt, Dorothy Mabrey; three uncles, Frank Brashear, Ed Brashear, and Ray Brashear. He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda O'Leary of Jay, Oklahoma; three sons, Larelee and wife, Rebecca O'Leary of Colcord, Oklahoma, Larren and wife, Megan O'Leary of Jay, Oklahoma, and Laramy and wife, Ami O'Leary of Jay, Oklahoma; three granddaughters, Baylee O'Leary of Colcord, Oklahoma, Laney O'Leary of Jay, Oklahoma, and Lara O'Leary of Jay, Oklahoma; two grandsons, Landon Davis of Grove, Oklahoma, and Lariet Pope of Coweta, Oklahoma; Cousins, Angie Teel of Sperry, Oklahoma, Linda Kay Morton and husband, Robert of Sperry, Oklahoma, Nancy Brashear of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Eldon Brashear and wife, Mary Kay of Kansas, Oklahoma, Earl Allen Brashear, and wife, J.J. of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Edsel Brashear of Kansas, Oklahoma; his aunt, Virginia Brockmier of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; his uncle, Earl Brashear Jr. of Muskogee, Oklahoma; along with a multitude of other cousins and dear friends. A visitation is scheduled from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 11, 2025, at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. A graveside funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Kansas Cemetery in Kansas, Oklahoma. SEATING will be available. Friends and family members are EXPECTED to join for BBQ, with all the trimmings, and desert following interment, located at American Legion Post 45, 198 Cherokee Street, Kansas, Oklahoma, 74347.
