He was born on June 14, 1948 in Petersburg, WV. The son of John and Lucy M. Peacemaker. Mr. Peacemaker retired from the National Fruit Company.
Larry married Sharon Wisecarver on December 1, 2001. Sharon preceded him in death on May 21, 2021.
Mr. Peacemaker has two brothers, Harry Peacemaker and Marcus (Barbara) Whittington, both of Winchester. A niece, Melissa (Alen) Smith of Lenoir, NC. Another niece, Laura Lee Weathers of NC, and a nephew, Harry Carbaugh of Winchester, VA. He has 3 great nieces and one great nephew, all in Lenoir, NC.
Mr. Peacemaker, "Larry Bear," knew no stranger. He was kind to everyone. He loved walking downtown Winchester on the old town mall. His favorite spot there was the Piccadilly grill. He cherished his dog "Elsa" very dearly. He called her his princess.
The family would like to add a special Thank You to Care Haven Center for his care throughout his time there. He will be greatly missed by many.
A private burial will be held at Shenandoah Memorial Park at a later date.
