Larry Allen Powell, Sr., 81 of Sheffield Lake passed away at his home on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. He retired from Ford Motor Company, where he worked for 42 years. Larry enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping, fishing, bird watching and feeding the squirrels. He loved to take care of his cars and walking with his friends, and when he was younger he enjoyed golfing and playing racquetball. His favorite pastime was spending time with his family, and he will be missed by them.
Larry is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years Brenda; daughter, Connie Wilson (Jacob); grandchildren, Jordann Kurtzman (Mitch), Jacob, Gabrielle, and Aiden Wilson; great granddaughters, Ava and Claire Kurtzman; and a sister, Charlotte Lilly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sebert and Edna Powell; son, Larry Powell, Jr.; and siblings, Sebert Emery Powell, Eugene Powell, and Dolores Linkenaugter.
The funeral service and burial will be private.
