Survivors include Spouse, Sharon McClusky Prather, Children, Tami, Bill and Mark Prather, Bryan Absher. Grandchildren, Mitchell York, Zach and Matt Prather, Ariel Christine Prather Allen and Ethan Prather. Great Grandchildren, Jaxon, Hartley and Nash Prather.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Prather and Sarah Pyle Prather, Brothers, Thomas Eugene and James L. Prather and Cynthia Prather Pankey, and Grandson Drew Alan Roach. Larry attended school in Carrier Mills, Illinois before serving in the U.S. Army from 1960-1962.
He was employed with Sahara Coal Company, Harrisburg, IL, Peabody Coal Company, Shawneetown, IL and Amax Coal Company, Keensburg, IL.
After his retirement in coal mining he enjoyed Fishing, Boating, Camping and Golfing.
He was of Baptist Faith and will be missed by family, friends and coworkers.
A Celebration of Life will be observed with Immediate Family Members at a later date.
In Lieu of Flowers, Remembrances can be made to Salem Baptist Church, Cemetery Fund, Carrier Mills, IL
Brewer and Sons Funeral Home, Seven Hills, Spring Hill, FL is in charge of Burial Arrangements.
