Stanley was a well-loved biology professor at Southwestern Assembly of God University, now known as Nelson University, for many years. He loved to read, working on his house, classical music, and nature.
Stanley is preceded in death by his first wife, Mavis Prather, second wife, Glenna Prather, and his children, Jon Prather, Mark Prather, Genie Prather, and David Prather..
He is survived by 3 of his grandchildren, Geoff and Jon Prather (whom he lovingly adopted), Jeremy Prather, sister Joyce Elwanda Hutson, and a very dear family friend, Lori Berg.
A Memorial Service will be held at Waxahachie Funeral Home on Saturday, October 25, at 10am.
