Stanley Prather Obituary
Stanley was a well-loved biology professor at Southwestern Assembly of God University, now known as Nelson University, for many years. He loved reading, working on his house, classical music, and nature.
Stanley is preceded in death by his first wife, Mavis Prather, second wife, Glenna Prather, and his children, John Prather, Mark Prather, Genie Prather, and David Prather.
He is survived by his 3 grandchildren, Geoff and Jon Prather (whom he lovingly adopted), Jeremy Prather, sister Joyce Elwanda Hutson, and a very dear family friend, Lori Berg.
A Memorial Service will be held at Waxahachie Funeral Home on Saturday, October 25, at 10am.

Brother Prather was an interesting fellow. I attended SAGC in the mid 1980's and he always challenged his students. He was very colorful and fun to be around. Rest in peace.

My Name is Wanda Leah Prather.Herman Buddy Prather is My Brother-in-Law. We Were Making Plans for Me to Move Closer to Him & His Loved Ones, His Beloved Care Person Lori Berg, & His Sister ElWanda. His Only Brother "Troy (Deceased) Were So Happy to Share His Visit´s When Buddy Would Bring His Wife & Son to Alaska With Us. I Was So Excited to be Moving Closer to My Brother Buddy& His Sister ElWanda. I am @ a Loss as I Know His Family is @ His Sudden Passing. "Buddy" as I Knew Him, Will Always Be in My Heart & Prayers. He Will be Greatly Missed By All of His Loved Ones, & Especially Me. I Will Miss Our Plans & Dreams of What Was Yet to Come. "Buddy," You Are Home in Heaven & I Will See You Again.
