Larry Wayne Price, 61, of Boones Mill, VA., passed away peacefully at home on May 27, 2025 following a long battle with lung cancer. He was born in Roanoke, Virginia.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents Ed and Arlene Price; sisters Wanda and Becky. He is survived by wife Debbie, children: Alisha (Brian), Michael, Megan, Matthew, Mitchell (Angela), and Brian; Grandchildren: Gage, Nevaeh, Bethany, Ava, Lillian, Chase, River, Olivia, Caden, and Sawyer; Sisters: Sandra (Jeff) and Jackie; Special cousin, Angie (Junior); a host of cousins, nephews, and nieces; and numerous friends, including a long time friend, Charlie Moran.
He enjoyed spending time with his “people” doing all things outdoors, including camping, fishing, boating, racing, gardening, grilling (he couldn’t pass up a good hot dog) while listening to and playing a variety of music with his boys on any given occasion. He especially loved spending summers at the beach and many memories were made with family and friends there.
Larry was a hard working man and spent over 30 years working as an independent contractor. Through the years he developed close relationships with many of his customers. Everyone who knew Larry knew he had a very kind and loving heart, often stopping to help strangers in need. He found much pleasure in the happiness of others. He always wanted to make sure everyone was having a good time and enjoyed bringing family together. He was an excellent provider and protector for all of his family – and he had a very large, extended family.
