Larry Wayne Rainbolt

Larry Wayne Rainbolt, 77, of Fort Gibson was born July 5, 1945, in Vancouver, WA., to Carl and Gladys (Tye) Rainbolt and peacefully passed away at his home, Friday, October 7, 2022, with his loving family by his side. He received his education at Fort Gibson High School, graduating with the class of 1963. On October 15, 1962, he married the love of his life, Sue Oliver. Together they shared 59 years, 11 months and 22 days making precious memories together. Larry was employed with the Muskogee Police Department for 20 years, retiring in 1991. Not one to sit still, Larry continued in the workforce, finishing his career working for Rick Crittenden driving a dump truck. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, and had a huge love for animals, especially for his dog, Georgie, that he called his, "Little Buddy". He enjoyed spending time with his lifelong best buddy, Art Ballard, being with his family, and took pride in the care and upkeep of his family land. Larry will be missed by many. He is lovingly survived by his wife, Sue of the home; sons, Kevin Rainbolt (wife Jennifer), Tommy Rainbolt, and Richie Rainbolt (wife Ginger); granddaughters, Sarah (husband Grady), Sydni (husband Kyler), and Charli; grandsons, Dillon (wife Dallas), Brody, and Ross; great-grandchildren, Landon, Sawyer, Nova, Addison, Ryan, Jaxson, and Colton; brother, Paul Rainbolt and wife, Sondie; nieces, nephews and many friends. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Gladys Rainbolt; and his brother, Kenny Rainbolt. Larry's services will be held at a later date.
