Larry J. Sampson, Sr. Obituary
Family will receive friends on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Baptist Church, 461 St. Clair Ave., Columbus, OH 43203. Interment: Greenlawn Cemetery.

Larry James Sampson was born April 14, 1951, to the union of the late Jasper C. Sampson and Anna Belle Samuel Sampson in Ruffin South Carolina, Colleton County.
Larry was educated in the public school system of Colleton County and Columbus Ohio public school system. He successfully completed his academic program and subsequently served as a distinguished member of the United States Air Force.
He was employed with AYP Food Service in Walterboro South Carolina as a truck driver. Larry also engaged in construction activities specializing in drywall installation. Later he was employed and recently retired after a successful tenure with Estes Trucking Express Line.
Larry was proceeded in death by parents Jasper C. and Anna Belle Sampson; his brothers Rodney Sampson, Anthony Sampson, Warren Sampson; his sisters, Cheryl Koger and Shirley Walker.
Larry leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Penny Frazier Sampson, children Larrietta (Judah) Cartwright, Larry (Crystal) Sampson, Samantha Sampson, Faith (Travis) Slaughter, 24 Grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, sister Annett Murdaugh, Letitia (Gordon) McClenton, Stepsister Barbara (David) Brown, stepmother Marie Sampson, from South Carolina. Brother in laws Richard (Katherine) Frazier, Derrick Frazier, Kevin Frazier, Sister in laws Karen Hammond, Maria Long, Dr. Nicole (Hollis) Johnson from Columbus, Ohio. Stepbrothers Bernard (Angela) Walker, and Johnny L. Walker of South Carolina. Aunt Amie Green, Aunt Ozene (Harvey) Fryar of South Carolina, and Aunt Martha Thompson of Florida. And a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
