Larry J. Seehafer, 74, Green Bay, passed away on Friday, June 17, 2022 after complications from a battle with cancer. Larry was born on September 12, 1947, in Shawano, the son of the now late Sylvester and Amanda (Beyer) Seehafer. He was a graduate of Green Bay West High School with the class of 1965. On December 2, 1967 he married the former Virginia "Virg" Kaminski at St. Jude Catholic Church. Larry was employed at Proctor and Gamble in varying positions, from working the intermodals (Rail System) to the Charmin line, the Fire Brigade and Safety Committee, he always worked where he was needed and never complained. He retired after 35 years of faithful service. He was a huge outdoorsman and loved making memories camping with his family at State Parks, he just simply enjoyed the beauty of nature. Larry and Virg loved travelling together and greatly enjoyed their trips to Aruba, St. Kitts, Mexico, their cruises and the many trips across the United States. They built their dream house on the lake where they formed special friendships. Larry also liked to fish and enjoyed spending time on the pontoon watching the sunsets, and even enjoyed sitting on the dock watching the water. He loved playing cards especially, cribbage, Sheephead and rummy. Larry worked hard all his life, to live the dream to own his Miata, to have the top down and the wind in his hair. Larry loved cooking for his family and "work" family and was the best short order Cook. He cherished his family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially attending his kids and grandchildren's sporting events. Larry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, a friend to many and will be lovingly remembered and sorrowfully missed.
Larry is survived by his loving wife: Virginia, his 4 children: Tammy (Don) Schindler, Madison; Tina Gibbs and her fiancé: Dan Deeg, Appleton; Timm (Denise) Seehafer, De Pere; Troy (Nicki) Seehafer, Green Bay; 10 grandchildren: Toni, Brady, Callista, Zack, Evan, Carter, Mason, Ty, Tucker and Tanner, 1 brother and sister-in-law: Bill and Jean Seehafer, 1 sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Arlene (Dean) Halstead. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by one brother and sister-in-law ; Thomas (Laurie) Seehafer.
Gathering of family and friends will be held from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. on Friday, June 24, 2022 at Sepia Chapel 3562 Finger Road. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Jen Fite officiating. Burial at Nicolet Memorial Gardens. The family would like to offer warm note of appreciation to Dr. Edgard Badine, and a special acknowledgement to the following nurses of the St. Vincent 9th floor, Hannah, Monte and Emilie.
