Larry Eugene Shonk, 78, of Centralia, passed away peacefully on September 05, 2025 at his home in Centralia, surrounded by his loving family.

Larry was born in Massilon, Ohio on September 18, 1946, the son of Owen and Eleanor Maria (Kitler) Shonk. He married Nancy Harkins on April 3, 1999 in Orville, Ohio. Together, they have shared twenty-seven years of marriage and precious memories.

Born and raised in Ohio, Larry went to serve our country as a boiler man in the U.S. Navy. Larry is an accomplished Vietnam Veteran who was proud of his service and his country. After service he worked at OARDC, a welder at Ingersol Rand and a laborer over the years. Larry's greatest passion was being a PaPa, alongside fishing, cars, and cruising in his Jeep.
He is survived by his loving wife- Nancy Shonk of Centralia; seven children- Michael Shonk of Ohio, Kristen Thompson of Ohio, Kerri Beth Shonk of South Carolina, Rachel Jarrett of Vandalia, Jennifer (Charles) Gause of Centralia, Casey Washington of Centralia, Izabelle Jarrett of Centralia; son-in-law- Danny Quick; two brothers- Robert (Pat) Shonk of Orville, Ohio, Bill (Kary) Shonk of Wooster, Ohio; best friend- Jill Clay of Wisconsin; several precious grandchildren and great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents- Owen and Eleanor Shonk and two children- Misty Quick and Danny Lee "DJ" Jarrett, II.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
