Kathryn Giselle Campbell, age 59, of Mt Vernon, passed away on August 20, 2025, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon. Born on December 15, 1965, in Massachusetts to Imry and Mildred Toth, Kathryn grew up with a spirit of adventure and a heart full of love.

In 1991, she married Arthur Campbell in Haverhill, Massachusetts, and though their marriage came to an end, their friendship was one that was cherished. Kathryn later found love again with her fiancé, Ed Downs, and cherished the time they spent together.

Kathryn grew up in Massachusetts and later moved to Illinois. Her passions included horses and all things Wizard of Oz, reflecting her whimsical and imaginative nature. Her greatest joys, however, were her children and her fiance, Ed, and the time she spent with them.

She is survived by her two sons- John Clark and Dee Campbell of Salem, sister- Kay Whittington of Maryland, and fiance- Ed Downs. She was preceded in death by her parents and one beloved son- Joeseph Clark.

Though public services are not being held at this time, the family appreciates the love and support of friends and family during this difficult time. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family to help cover the unexpected final expenses. Donations will be accepted online via the donation tab on Kathryn's obituary page.
