Clyde Lincoln Campbell

Clyde Lincoln Campbell passed away peacefully Monday August 25 at the Good Samaritan Village in Fort Collins. He was born to Roy and Flossie Campbell on February 12th, 1935, in Nehawka, Nebraska. Clyde grew up on a farm with his brothers Leroy, Ralph, and sister Evelyn. Later in his teens he moved to Loveland Colorado where he met and married Viola W. Schwarz in 1953.

Clyde and Viola had 5 children, Richard, Jerald, Kenneth, Susan and Karen. For many years he and the family attended Loveland Protestant Reformed Christian Church. In his early working days, he worked on a dairy farm, and on the Krohs family farm, he also worked putting in sprinkler systems where he learned how to run a backhoe, and he worked for Colorado/Wyoming pipeline, all before he and Paul Griess started C&G Pipeline. Many times, while on car rides the last few years, he would point out buildings, houses and whole subdivisions where he said they laid all the pipelines. His last job was as Superintendent of City of Loveland Water, Wastewater Department, where he worked for 15 years.

Sadly, his wife Viola died in 1987 of cancer. Later that year, Clyde married Maryann Mehrman. He worked at the city till 2005, and he and Maryann retired to their mountain house overlooking the Big Thompson River and Sylvan Dale Ranch, where Clyde loved working on the house, and puttering around the yard making the property look beautiful. He was always busy and loved to be outside, and he sure loved all the cats and 2 dogs they had over the years. They had many wonderful neighbors who become good friends. Clyde was also in charge at this time of the water pump house and filter system for the community around Sylvan Dale Ranch. Maryanne passed away suddenly of cancer in 2019.

Clyde was proceeded in death by his father Roy, mother Flossie, brothers Leroy and Ralph, Sister Evelyn, wife Viola, wife Maryann, and daughter-in-law Dorainne Campbell. He is survived by his children Rick/Donna, Jerry/Sue, Kenny/Barb, Susan/Mark, Karen, Jake/Bowen, 15 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 5 great/great grandchildren.

It was Clyde's wishes to not have a funeral service.
