Larry D. Slesicki, age 77 of Pound, Wisconsin passed away on August 7, 2025 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights after a struggle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. Larry was born October 10, 1947 in Skokie, Illinois to John and Ann (Schmidt) Slesicki. After graduating from St. Ambrose University with a degree in Business, he worked professionally in tool & die, sauna repair, grocer, and airline mechanic. An avid outdoorsman, he planted hundreds of trees and loved to birdwatch. Beloved father to his sons, Kyle (Jen), and Devin (Jeannette), and grandfather to Andrew, Luke, Mary, Quinn, Liam and Owen. He was brother to the late Joel, and former spouse to Eleanor. Visitation will be at St. Raymond De Penafort Catholic Church, 301 S I Oka Avenue, Mt. Prospect, Illinois 60056 on Saturday, August 23, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral mass begins at 11:00 a.m. The interment is private. Arrangements have been entrusted to Matz Mt. Prospect Funeral Chapel 410 E. Rand Rd., Mt. Prospect, Illinois 60056. For further information please call 847-394-2336.
