Larry Edwards Thompson

Larry Edwards Thompson, age 87 from Shackle Island, Tennessee also known as Goodlettsville, Tennessee passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center. Larry was born on September 19, 1938 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Ray Thompson and Francis Thompson Ralph.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Richard "Dick" Thompson, Rayford Thompson, Ross Thompson and Betty Ruth Thompson Ralph.
He is survived by his children, Eddie (Cindy) Thompson, Terri (Charles) Hagood and Jeff (Chanda) Thompson; grandchildren, Allyson (Tyler) Greene, Kylie (Sid) Henderson, Brennan (Alexa) Hagood, Kenzie Thompson and Kaden Hagood; great-grandchildren, Janiyah Greene, Kirby Jane Greene, Charlie Greene, Hazely Hagood and Hutch Hagood; mother of his children and best of friends, Alice Thompson; brother, Chester Thompson.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 5th at 2:00 PM at Beech Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 3216 Long Hollow Pike, Hendersonville, TN with Jimmy Sites and Pastor Jeff DeWees officiating. Interment will follow the service at Beech Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Brennan Hagood, Kaden Hagood, Charles Hagood, Tyler Greene, Sid Henderson and Tyler Caron serving as pallbearers. Visitation for family and friends will be at Beech Cumberland Presbyterian Church on Monday, January 5th from 11:00 AM until service time at 2:00 PM.
