It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow, yet abiding faith, that we announce Larry Martin True entered into the presence of Jesus, his Lord and Savior, on February 7, 2025, at the age of 64. Larry was a devoted husband, a loving son, a caring brother, a cherished uncle, and a step-grandfather who touched the lives of those around him with kindness, humor, and an unwavering spirit.
Larry graduated from Franklin County High School in 1978. Retired as the IT Manager from Humana Insurance in Louisville.
Larry is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Leaffie True, who stood by his side through life's joys and challenges. He also leaves behind his devoted mother, Rena W. True; his brother, Jimmy True; and his sister, Sharon Goode (Larry), who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts. His nephews, Logan Goode (Alexys) and Landon Goode, will always remember the love and wisdom he shared. Larry is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and extended family members who loved him dearly. As well as his step grandchildren, Christopher Burton, Lance Burton (Valerie), Michael Culver, and Landon Culver.
He was preceded in death by his father, Porter M. True, and his stepdaughter, Kim Culver, who welcomed him with open arms in eternal peace.
Larry's faith was the foundation of his life, and his presence brought warmth and encouragement to all who knew him. His legacy of love, strength, and devotion to Christ will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
A service to honor and celebrate Larry's life will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd with Rev. Randy Nation officiating. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 5:00pm until 8:00pm on Monday, February 17, 2025 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Woodford Humane Society in his memory.
While his earthly journey has ended, we take comfort in knowing that Larry now rests in the arms of his Savior, and we look forward to the day we will see him again.

Larry was a great friend who will be deeply missed. We had many moments when we just laughed at silly things, most of these moments when we were sharing a meal. Leaffie, Larry, Cheryl and I went to dinner a lot to just spend time together and just enjoy each others company. Larry had a great sense of humor and would often tell the waitress to be patient with me when ordering because I had just gotten out of prison. Which by the way was not true. We would reminisce about old movies and recall funny lines in the movie. I impersonate Forest Gump, so he would ask me to talk to the waitress like Forest and would just laugh like crazy.
