Mr. Larry Levon Tuck, age 73, of
Sanford, NC, transitioned to eternal rest on Monday, November 10, 2025, at First Health Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst, NC.
The life of Larry Levon Tuck is one that will never be forgotten. Born October 31, 1952, the fifth child of James O. and Sarah B. Worthy Tuck, Larry's journey was one marked by strength, love, and unwavering dedication to family and community.
Larry joined Poplar Springs Church at an early age, where in his adult life he served faithfully as a Trustee.
Those who knew Larry knew him as a "business man" with a deep love for real estate. He found joy in riding through the neighborhood and surrounding areas, admiring new developments and dreaming big. His passion for entrepreneurship - especially in real estate - was unmatched.
After proudly graduating from Greenwood High School, Class of 1971, Larry continued his education and earned his associate's degree from Sandhills Community College. He went on to work as Produce Manager at Big Star Grocery Store. Following the store's closing, he continued his hard-working spirit through positions at Weyerhaeuser and Frontier Spinning Mills, where he remained until his health began to decline.
As a life partner and father, Larry was our SUPERMAN. He made sure his family was always cared for. Though his lessons were sometimes direct, they were always rooted in love. As a brother, he was the "little brother" to his oldest sister, the protector of his youngest sister, and the best friend of his brothers.
During his illness, Larry taught us all how to fight, stay positive, and endure. Through all the pain he faced, he never once complained - a true testament to his strength and faith.
Larry was preceded in death by his loving parents, James O. and Sarah B. Worthy Tuck and his nephew, Fred Tuck, Jr,
He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted life partner, Delois Frazier, of the home; his daughters, Shonda Tuck - Strickland (Donnie) of Siler City, Kimberly Tyson (Gary) of Sanford, and Pam Easterling (Samuel) of Sanford; his precious grandchildren, Ariyan Walden, Tyler Walden, Ashly Tyson, Carrington Tyson, Alexis Tyson, and K.J. Frazier.
He is also survived by his loving siblings Barbara Tuck-Lovell (Dr. Charles Lovell) of Portsmouth, VA; Fred Tuck (Katherine) and Frederick Tuck (Betty) both of Upper Marlboro, MD; William Tuck (Janice) of Winston-Salem, NC and Alice Swann (Reginald) of Fayetteville, NC, two aunts, Dorothy Worthy of Bridgeport, CT and Alice Worthy Matthews of
Sanford, NC; along with nieces, nephews, and a host of close family who loved him dearly.
Larry's legacy of love, hard work, faith, and perseverance will live on in all who knew him. His memory will forever remain a blessing to his family, his friends, and the Poplar Springs community he so dearly loved.
