With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Larry Joe Wood. Born on December 27, 1947, to Oliver and Florence Sartin Wood, Larry lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication. He passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, humor, and family devotion.
Larry dedicated 36 years of his life working at Sunshine Homes and also spent many years pouring concrete, always giving his best in all he did. But beyond his work, it was his love for his family and his mischievous sense of humor that truly defined him. Whether it was pulling a prank or teasing someone with a twinkle in his eye, Larry had a way of bringing joy to those around him. His love for life and his ability to make others smile will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Services are 1:00 pm on Thursday April 10, 2025, at Senter Funeral Directors with Bro. Mike Deaton officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am Thursday, April 10, at Senter Funeral Home. Burial will be at Joel Cemetery.
