Laura Campione

Laura D. McKenzie Campione 67. Passed on to her eternal home peacefully 3/12/24 with her husband Arthur Campione of 47 years at her side and her fur baby Abbie. Leaving behind are her two sons' that she loved deeply, Arthur III Campione and Bryan Campione along with 4 grandchildren, Alex, Jaxon, Archer and Nina. Siblings: Robert (Bob) McKenzie (Lisa), Tim McKenzie (Sharon), her only sister Lisa McKenzie Buckley. Laura also leaves behind many non-biological sisters in friendship. Special nieces: Danielle Davis and Mellissa Long.
Laura worked 30 years for Grand Rapids Public Schools as a bus driver and 10 years for Dean Transportation as a field trip coordinator. She loved writing letters to people and making people smile. She loved making special life-like dolls and working in her craft room. She was co-owner of Cattail Cards with her bestie Karen Bileth. She loved making greeting cards.
She loved sitting on her deck with her husband and fur babies, Abbie and Sadie, watching the birds and butterfly's visit her beautiful flower gardens. She also loved driving her convertible Camaro with friends, top down and wind in her face. Laura is sure to be missed by many. She was always positive, saying "we'll get through this, we'll be okay."
Laura's celebration of life will be held on April 13, 2024. There will be meet and greet from 9am - 11am at Crossway Community Church, 3950 Burton SE. Service will begin at 11am followed by a Luncheon. In lieu of flowers please make donation to Beautiful you by Profile in Laurie's name 4669 Alpine Ave NW. Comstock Park MI 49321.
