EVANS, Laura Garnett - Age 74, of Mt. Morris, passed away Saturday, August 23, 2025. Cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital.
Laura was born November 10, 1950 in Justice, West Virginia, the daughter of Walter Kay and Sylvia (Miller) Blankenship. She had resided in Mt. Morris for the past 3 years coming from Flint and Swartz Creek. She enjoyed crocheting and taking care of her great grandbabies.
Surviving are: her children, Franklin (Kimberly) Evans, Jr. of Mt. Morris and Sylvia (William) Eplett of Durand; grandchildren, Michelle Hoffa of Grand Blanc, Franklin (Emili) Evans of Millington, William "Scooter" (Keri) Eplett of Swartz Creek, Amber (Shane) Hart of Millington and Christopher Eplett of Mt. Morris; great grandchildren, Brayden, Brentley, Landon, Blake, Adalynn, Kameron, Kennedy and Harper; siblings, Thelma, Nina, Carnetta, Kay and Margie; and many nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Sylvia Blankenship; and 10 siblings. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
