Laura (Lopez) Fernandez was born on April 28, 1987, in Chihuahua, Mexico, to the home of Merced (Urquidis) and Andres Lopez, and died on August 17, 2022, Portales, New Mexico.
Laura attended Clovis High School. She married Alejandro Fernandez on May 24, 2003 in Portales. She worked with young children at Head Start until her third child arrived and stayed at home to take care of them. She enjoyed taking them to their soccer games and practice. She was a loving and caring wife and mother and will be greatly missed.
Laura is survived by her husband, Alejandro Fernandez; her children, Alejandro, Jr., Vanessa and Adrian; her parents, Andres and Merced Lopez, and her siblings, Andres, Jessica and Oscar Lopez.
