Laura Franco, a devoted wife, loving mother, and esteemed attorney, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2025, in Houston, Texas. She was born on October 20, 1977, in Acapulco, Mexico, where her remarkable journey began. Laura touched the lives of many with her strength, intelligence, and beauty, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Greg Garcia, whom she married on June 27, 2009, in Houston, Texas. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter. Laura was a proud mother to her three cherished children: Emma, Alisha, and Jaque, who were the center of her universe. She was a guiding light in their lives, always encouraging them to pursue their dreams and instilling in them the values of kindness and hard work.
Laura was raised by her mother and her stepfather, Paula and Santos Sanchez, who nurtured her fierce spirit and determination. She was a loving sister to her siblings: Adolfo Diaz, Maribel Hernandez, Monica Chapa, and Rosa Sanchez. She will also be remembered fondly by her numerous nieces and nephews, who brought joy and laughter into her life.
Laura pursued her education with determination, completing her Juris Doctorate in 2005. She owned and operated her own law practice, the Law Office of Laura Franco, where she was known for her unwavering commitment to her clients and her passion for the law. Her career was not just a job; it was a reflection of her character – strong, intelligent, driven, and deeply respected within the legal community.
Beyond her professional achievements, Laura had a zest for life that was contagious. She enjoyed spending time at the ocean, where she found peace and inspiration. She loved preparing fruits and vegetables, always seeking fresh ingredients to share with her family. Shopping with her daughters was a cherished pastime, filled with laughter and bonding moments that they will forever hold dear.
