Laura Diane Campbell Lindemann, 82 years old, died June 16, 2025, Lakeland FL. She was born on August 21, 1942, Staten Island, New York to Lawrence and Margaret Peterson Campbell. She attended New Dorp Moravian Church as a child and was the youngest of four children. She graduated from New Dorp High School and Beth Israel Hospital School of Nursing in Manhattan 1964. She worked as a charge nurse at Morton Plant Hospital before her marriage to Tom “TL” Lindemann in 1965.
During her career she worked for Medical Personnel Pool agency as a fill-in nurse for in- home assignments or covering for vacationing nurses at the Mosaic Phosphate Mines through Upjohn Medical Pool agency. She volunteered at the Presbyterian Homes doing blood pressure readings for residents. She was married to the love of her life for 38 years until his death April 21, 2004. Laura enjoyed training, competing with her pets, in dog obedience, breed, and agility shows, training them to be therapy dogs for nursing home visits, and actively involved with the Imperial Polk Obedience Club as a teacher, and a board member for 20+ years. She was an active member and Elder of Presbyterian Church in the Highlands.
She is survived by her children: son Thomas D. Lindemann, daughter Deborah Haldane (Clint) Lakeland. Brother-in-Law: Jon Lindemann Seattle Grandson: Luke M. Haldane. Siblings: Alice Burke (Jack) Florida, twin sister Marguerite Gerard (Tom) Tennessee. Nephews and Nieces: Jason Lindemann (Melissa)Mulberry, Stephen Burke New Port Richey, Diane Funk (Casey)Virginia, Annette Campbell St. John Spring Hill, Karen Wainright (Bruce) and Paul Gerard (Cassidy)Tennessee. Great nephews and nieces: Kyle Lindemann (Madison) London, Keyonna Lindemann Lakeland, Steve and Andy Burke Florida, Ethan, Abigail and Bailey Funk Virginia, Bradley and Makaia Gerard, Sedona Mills Tennessee, Colleen and John Wainright Tennessee, Amber Mulliner, Christian, Ryan and Taylor St. John Florida, Jackie Mills (Tristan) Texas. Great-great nephew and niece: Reid and Penelope Lindemann, London. Preceded in death by oldest sister Barbara Campbell, brother and sister-in-law Robert & Diane Lindemann, Mulberry and nephew John Burke, New Port Richey.
A visitation will be held on 6/28/25, 1:00p.m. followed by funeral service starting at 2:00p.m. at Heath Funeral Home Chapel, 328 S. Ingraham Ave., Lakeland, FL 33801. Service will be followed by light Hor d’oeuvres in reception hall on site. Interment will be at Presbyterian Church in the Highlands columbarium garden next to her husband on Sunday 6/29/25. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Therapy Dogs International, mailing address: 88 Bartley Road, Flanders, New Jersey 07836; or any therapy dog organization of choice.
