LAURA MARIE MORA ALVAREZ
MCALLEN – Laura Marie Mora Alvarez, 47, passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at her residence in McAllen.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Angel Rafael Mora Jr.; maternal grandparents, Rafael and Idolina Castro; paternal grandparents, Francisco and Carmen Mora; aunt, Connie Mora; uncle, John Mora; and mother-in-law, Lydia Reyna Alvarez.
Mrs. Alvarez is survived by her husband, JoAngel Alvarez; a daughter, Amaris Jaylnn Alvarez; three stepchildren, Jon Andrew Alvarez, Sarah Karina Alvarez, Jo Michael Alvarez; grandson, Carter James Carithers; parents, Angel Rafael Mora & Yolanda Mora; two siblings, Christina (Sergio) Navarro, Christopher (Deborah) Mora; sister-in-law, Janie Mora; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. with a 6 p.m. prayer service, Sunday, December 29, 2024, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, December 30, 2024, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in McAllen.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
