Laura Jean Pinkerton, 89, of Springfield, MO, passed away away on October 25, 2025, peacefully at home.
Laura was born to George Bryant and Elizabeth Deckard Bryant on October 23, 1936 in Marshfield, MO. Laura graduated from Marshfield High School in May of 1954.
Laura was united in marriage to Carroll Alva Lawrence who preceded her in death in November 1975.
Laura was then united in marriage to Rex Pinkerton until his death in 2005.
Laura spent her life as a secretary mainly in the medical field.
Laura leaves behind her three sons William Michael Lawrence, George Daniel Lawrence and wife Connie, and Thomas Martin Lawrence; one daughter Carol Jean Bennie; two stepdaughters Patricia Houle and Karen Patterson. Laura also leaves behind 15 grandkids, 31 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Laura was preceded in death by her husband Carroll, husband Rex, son James Wayne Lawrence, stepsons Billy Rex Pinkerton and Dale Pinkerton, two brothers, four sisters, and both parents.
Laura enjoyed going to her kids ball games when they were young, and as she had grandchildren she enjoyed their sports activities also. She loved the St. Louis Cardinals. She also loved making quilts, sewing, cooking, and canning. Mom was a loving person who thought the world of her family and enjoyed sitting and talking about days gone by.
