Laura H Pitard

Pitard – Laura "Sally" Hoyal Pitard, age 86, passed away at her home in Atlantic Beach, Florida, on September 21, 2025. She was a native of Hollywood, Florida and graduated from South Broward High School in 1957, later attending Nova University. For the next 31 years, Sally was employed at South Broward District Hollywood Hospital as an administrative assistant. She later had a home on Beech Mountain in North Carolina, where she lived for 40 years and was a member of the Beech Mountain Club. Sally was an avid reader, loved gardening and playing golf. Recently, Sally found herself enjoying the game of bridge and she tended to play often. After retiring, Sally started watercolor painting and was well known for her birthday cards and entries at local exhibits. She was preceded in death by her brother, Craig; former husband, Carl Auggie Petersen.

Sally leaves behind by her husband, Alden "Pete" Pitard; stepson, Alden G. Pitard of Florida; stepdaughters, Kim Feliciano of New Jersey, Anne Conway of Florida; nephew, Howard Hoyal; and niece, Julia Victor, both of Texas.

A Service for Sally will be held at their family plot located in Volusia County, Florida at a later date. Arrangements are under the care and direction of V. TODD FERREIRA FUNERAL SERVICES, 1500 Main Street, Atlantic Beach, Florida.
