Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - West Side ChapelLaura Prim Walker, age 50, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on Monday, September 29, 2025. She was born in Battambang, Cambodia on October 19, 1974, to Ou Prim and Yoeut Im.
Laura was preceded in death by her father, Ou Prim, and her mother, Yoeut Im. She is survived by her beloved husband of 16 years, Raymond Walker; her daughter, Jasmine and son-in-law Austin Bierman; her son, Daren Duong; her siblings, Map Prim, Mao Prim, Meng Prim, Sophia Prim, Marin Prim, and Mony Prim; as well as a host of other family members and friends.
Known for her vibrant spirit, Laura enjoyed spending time dining out with family and friends. She was an ardent supporter of local sports, finding joy in the Cincinnati Cyclones and Cincinnati Reds, and she was a dedicated fan of Ohio State. A proud dog lover, Laura shared her home with her beloved pets, Kenner, Mego, Fonzie, and Max.
Laura’s kindness and generosity were evident to all who knew her. She had a natural ability to light up any room and approached life fearlessly, never concern about the opinions of others. Her passion for family was unparalleled; she never missed a family event and always offered unwavering support to her loved ones. Laura’s exceptional work ethic shone through, particularly during her Thanksgiving celebrations, where she ensured every detail was perfect without needing assistance.
A celebration of Laura's life will be held at 9:00 AM on Saturday, October 4, 2025, with a visitation beginning at 8:00 AM. The service will take place at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - West Side Chapel, located at 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211.
