God has blessed another angel with wings. On Saturday, the 27th of August 2022, Laura Willene Quave Simmons took her Heavenly flight to God s Kingdom. There she will reunite with God, Jesus, and many angels including, her beloved husband, Louis Simmons; her parents, Willie and Alta Quave; siblings, Jerry and Fay; children, Glenn and Doris; as well as a baby girl Simmons; and grandchildren, Ashley and Jack who are waiting to hug her.
She was born and passed in Vancleave, MS. She was 88 years old and was a life-long member of the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Vancleave.
Laura s surviving loved ones include her four children, Marie Simmons (Jack) Yundt, Helen Simmons, James Simmons, and Tracy Mimms; grandchildren, Jennifer Yundt Coles, Tabithia Mimms, Ethan Mimms, Lisa Ferrill, Matt Simmons, triplets: Jason, Wendy, and Christy, and David and Andrew Quigley; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church (Quave Hill), in Vancleave.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Bradford-O Keefe Funeral Home, Ocean Springs, MS. Friends may visit one hour prior. Burial will follow at D Iberville Memorial Park.
