Laura Smith

LACONIA ---- Laura Ann Smith, 93, (as a leap year baby, she is actually only 23 years old) of Court Street, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2026.

Laura was born on February 29, 1932, in Framingham, MA, the daughter of Willis and Ella (Odges) Putney.

She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and making quilts. She also loved time of fellowship with her beloved church members.

Laura is survived by her sons, Scott Smith and his wife Sue, Shaun Smith and his wife Trish and William Smith and his wife Cheryle, daughter Sandra Davis, three grandchildren, Josiah Smith, Jeremiah Smith and Philip Davis, great-grandchild Ella Davis, brother Willis Putney, sisters, Beatrice Johnson, Alice Valpey and Ella Carlson and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Laura is predeceased by her husband Chester E. Smith, Jr. and son Chester E. Smith III.

There will be no calling hours.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 11:00am, at the South Baptist Church, 85 Court Street, Laconia, NH 03246.
