I have known Laura since I was a child as she and John were good friends of my parents, Bill and Carol Schmadeka. She and John were my washington parents, and I loved her dearly. My memory of her was that until I was 40 years old, she would send me birthday money. She had a quick wit and would always have the last word to make me laugh. I will miss you, Mom.
