Laura C. Tinelli

Laura C. Tinelli, 87, of New Hartford, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2023 on Cape Cod.
She was born August 28, 1935 in Utica, daughter of the late Paul and Angeline Cognetto DePietro and graduated from Proctor High School.
She married Michael Tinelli June 22, 1957. Mr. Tinelli died in 1987.
Laura retired from Commercial Travelers Insurance Co.
She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church, New Hartford. She was active in the New Hartford and New York Mills, Senior Citizens and very much enjoyed attending their meetings.
She loved crocheting and enjoyed reading, walking and taking bus trips.
Lara is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law David (Tomasina Hayes) Tinelli, Cape Cod and Michael (Dolores) Tinelli, FL; three brothers Michael DePietro, Utica, Anthony DePietro, Marcy and Angelo DePietro of Utica; several nieces and nephews and special friends Carol Murray, Millie Moore and Bill and Lorraine Obernesser. In addition to her parents she was pre-deceased by her sisters-in-law, Ida DePietro and Pat DePietro; her sister-in-law and brother-in-law Jack and Mary Tinelli and sister-in-law Mary Tinelli.
The funeral will be held Friday at 12:30 PM at St. John the Evangelist Church, New Hartford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The family will greet friends following the Mass.
